We are seeking a motivated Controls Engineer with strong manufacturing experience to join our team. The candidate will have the ability to influence and develop new practices, evaluate and improve current system designs, and help the company grow through improved methods, processes, and flow.
Essential Job Functions
Provide training support to Operations personnel in the proper setup, function and control of automated manufacturing equipment
Design electrical and electronic hardware systems for machine control
Programming controls for process and temperature control
Repair activity that is beyond the skill set of the maintenance staff in the capacity of electrical, electronic, and manufacturing system and equipment
Performing and maintaining equipment validation at a level satisfactory to cGMP compliance
Electrical part of Equipment PM Program development, implementation, and maintenance
Support in the development of new customer products, processes, and equipment needed for implementation
Participate in the design and build of custom machinery for internal and external use
Technical writing of procedures, manuals, and documents as needed
Programming of PLC applications and HMI interfaces from a variety of manufacturers
Generate electric circuit drawings, various wiring diagrams, power-system schematics
Defining, requesting and coordinating the purchase of electrical materials, components, equipment, and support services for the construction, assembly, and conditioning of prototype parts and machines
Five (5) + years of relevant work experience
General understanding of various engineering disciplines and manufacturing processes
Experience in writing PLC programs
Excellent problem-solving ability and critical thinking skills
Experience in reading and updating electrical schematics
Proven ability in panel building of electric, servo, and motion systems
Proven experience with troubleshooting complex controls systems based on PLCs and PC based systems
US citizen or permanent resident
B.S. in an engineering discipline preferred
